Norigae
Norigae was utilized by combining various decorations with a sense of rhythm to highlight the style of hanbok further instead of necklaces or earrings. As a result, it is the most diverse ornament for women throughout the Joseon dynasty, where femininity and patience were considered the virtues of the times.
When wearing a norigae, the wearer’s beauty can be expressed in combination with the type of costume and color well in each season. Therefore, norigae can practically maximize its effectiveness as a decoration.
Knot
The Concentric Knot - Be united and forever
My work rearranges the design elements from simple dots, lines, and facets into five accurately calculated spheres. After dividing this reconstructed form with random lines, I enable the solid facets to be interwoven with adjacent spaces through my bold incision protocol into the spheres.
Circular and spherical shapes visually entertain me with added stability and comfort, as always.
White jade symbolizes nobility and dignity and harmonizes with the knot, thereby enhancing its aesthetic value.
The final addition of light completes its visual integrity with dramatic abundance.
