As reminiscent of old intertwined trees, this sculptural installation poses a series of questions; how we look at and perceive natural phenomena and experience them. The object represented in painting or sculpture is a part of the illusion that resulted from artificial manipulation or reconstruction. For example, if the artist expresses nature, it should be viewed as a part of the illusion mixed with natural phenomena rather than following natural phenomena as it is. The depicted object is a result of constructing another model for nature upon what we imagine. At the same time, it represents the combination of the artist’s experience and sensibility, and either materialistic or non-materialistic traits of substances. In that way, I locate the object in the gap between a certain stereotype through our experiences and illusion.
