To become one as a beautiful yeonliji from different roots requires patience to allow each tree to coexist in the other’s presence and reinvention of each tree’s beliefs and identity. This procedure is similar to two people born and raised in different environments forming a family and creating a new universe through marriage.

Through the balance created by the melding of contrasting elements to form an orderly coexistence, the philosophical concepts of yeonliji and marriage have been fused to yield an intuitive image. It explores the aesthetics of balance created by intertwining contrasting images: masculinity and femininity, strength and flexibility, black and white, East and West, and time and space.
