Cicada, along with bats, is a symbol of the five fortunes and the five virtues. Since ancient times, the cicada, which endures time to come out of silkworm, has been used a lot for a norigae to pray for strong vitality, revival, and longevity. The filigree creating a shape using thin metal wires was mainly used for the shape of the cicada. The cicada-shaped main body is finished in a gray color finished by burning ottchil and is placed on the knot and ornamental tassel.
